Colour Codes Passes

BAA has issued some ID passes which allow you to have an access to Heathrow London Airport. The structure of these passes is unique in themselve. They are in a landscape format. Various colours are used and all of them having their own importance. Colours are categorized into different zones like restricted zone, controlled areas, cargo areas and some other functions.
The colour of the pass denotes the area of the zone to which the pass holder has been provided with an access. Usually there are four colours for the restricted zone. The blue and the yellow colour hatched designs are solely used for aircrew. Green colour is meant to provide access to internal airside.
Yellow colour passes are issued for the landside use and Grey is for controlled areas. Orange colour gives a bright look and is issued for cargo areas. Red colour passes are issued for certain job functions.
Only those people who are in specific need to enter baggage make up areas will be provided complete access. Card holders who have been given access have a red “B” written on their pass which is next to access numbers.
