ID Pass Regulation
Heathrow Airport has some pass schemes which allow the employees to enter Heathrow for a longer period. These passes are in a landscape format and to obtain these passes you need to follow some of the pass scheme rules which are contained in one convenient document. This convenient document is known as ID Pass Application Standard. It also tells you what is required to apply and obtain the passes.
National Aviation Security Programme says it’s required that BAA Airports strictly control access to security areas. BAA applies these rules and regulations to enhance the security of airports and various businesses which operate within the airport.
There are certain regulations which are contained in the Department for Transport’s Single Direction to Aerodrome Managers. These regulations set out different ways with the help of which BAA authorities can authorise and verify an access to the restricted or the controlled areas of Heathrow Airport.
BAA authorities have made a good use of this direction to prepare ID Pass Application Standard. One should make a note of it and remember that this is a very important document and one should agree to keep it safe and where it cannot be accessed by others. If anytime you do not wish to use it longer destroy it in a secure manner so that no one can make use of it.
This standard is written for the following people and authorities like Airport Security Managers, compliance teams, BAA ID Centres, the BAA ID Security Department and Authorised Signatories. This standard defines the key procedures for ID Pass Applications at all BAA UK Airports under the terms of the ID Scheme. It sets what is and is not acceptable both in terms of materials and processes in support of applications. This standard does not deal with new applications and renewals for recognised bodies, persons with a statutory right of access and accredited diplomats.
